Crest Voland Cohennoz, Espace Diamant
Overview
Crest Voland Cohennoz is a fairly small resort and part of the Espace Crystal area. Although quite a reasonable size (110km of pistes), it is largely for beginners and intermediates. Crest is linked to Les Saisies, which is a major Nordic skiing centre, hosting all the cross-country and biathlon events in the 1992 Olympics. Crest is unspoilt and uncrowded, but its snow is unreliable and there isn't much to do in the way of après-ski. Located near to Megève, Crest is only 90km from Geneva and its airport.
Overall, not a major resort, but traditional and unspoilt. Be warned though - snow is pretty important for skiing and because Crest suffers from low altitude it can't always guarantee good conditions.
