Overview
20 clusters of chalets around the centre of the small ski resort of Pragelato, offering a very different accommodation than you would typically expect from Club Med's ski hotels. Club Med Pragelato-Sestriere was originally constructed for the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006. Since then it has been converted by Club Med and brought up to their very high 4-Trident standards.

Location
Club Med Pragelato Sestriere offers skiing back to the doorstep, plus a cable car leaving from directly outside the boot room. The access into the World-renowned Milky Way ski area could not be better.
The cable car located just outside the ski room takes you up to the Vialattea (Sestriere) and Pragelato ski runs in just 4 minutes.
Facilities
Your package included ESF ski or snowboard lessons from Monday to Friday. Groups are formed based on the level and maximum 12 persons.
They are two heated swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor). Feel free to join the Aquafitness lessons before going on the pistes.
If you feel fancy for other activities than ski, the resort has a lot to offer to you. Hiking and trek sessions are organised daily by a mountain guides, this is a unique opportunity to experience the mountain other than on skis.
Finally, the Club Med Spa offers you a wide range of relaxing treatments such as massages, after skiing treatments, facial treatments and so on.
The resort offers you many others activities such as sled dogs, ski on the Olympic site, etc.
Rooms
Instead of big buildings, you will find little three storey chalets. Each contains maximum 4 rooms. The rooms are spacious, bright and decorated with traditional mountain style.
All rooms are well equipped with: telephone, Wi-Fi, TV, Espresso, machine, mini fridge, kettle, coffee and tea making facilities, safe deposit box. They also all have hairdryer, heated towel rail, towels and amenities.
The resort offers different kind of rooms:
Superior room (2-6 people): comfortable and modern room with a view on the other chalets. They are available with or without a balcony, interconnecting rooms for families.
Deluxe room (4 people): A duplex with a big living room and 2 bedrooms. They are modern, spacious and comfortable with a furnished balcony. You will also have bathrobes, slippers and pool towels in you room. These rooms are perfect for families that are looking for space.
Suite (2-4 people): A spacious duplex (75-85M2) with a furnished balcony, a separate living room and 2 bedrooms. The rooms offer you bathrobes, slippers, amenities accessories (shower cap, vanity kit, manicure kit, etc.)
The suite is not just a room, it also has a full range of luxury services: upgrade transfer, room service for continental breakfast every morning, Priority booking at the Gourmet Lounge, turn down service and cleaning on demand, minibar refilled daily.

Childcare
The Petit Club Med* welcomes your children for 2 to 4 years. The professionals will develop creative workshops, outdoor walking and even learning to ski and the pleasure of snow lessons. Moreover, evening activities allow you to have a relaxing dinner at the Gourmet Lounge or a late drink with friends at the bar.
For the older ones, the Mini Club (from 4 to 11 years) and the Club Med Passworld (from 11 to 17 years) welcome them every day. ESF ski lessons are included from Monday to Friday and groups are formed on the level and the language. Also, your teenager will have their own lounge area (no parents allowed) where they can chill with friend, play video games, etc.
Finally, lot of families activities are offered every day such as big snack, daily games, evening show, etc.
Catering
There are four restaurants to choose from, including a mountain restaurant:
IL PIEMONTE : four rooms, each with its own ambiance. A buffet with Italian and international food.
LA TANA: an authentic Italian restaurant with typical Piemont dishes and fondue or pierrade served with Italian wines.
LA TRATTORIA: for lunch, the restaurant offers the best Italian dishes (pizza, pasta, charcuterie and Italians cheese. In the evening you will enjoy a traditional Italian dishes in a Trattoria atmosphere.
CASA MOLLINO: situated on the ski slopes at 2,300 meters, the restaurant offers the best of local gastronomy as a buffet.
There are also two bars at your disposal.

About Sestriere
Certainly the highest and probably the best resort in the Milky Way, Sestriere was the first purpose-built village in the Italian Alps. At 2,035m, it is the highest town in Italy. The 1997 World Championships were here and Sestriere featured heavily at the 2006 Turin Olympic Games. Because it's at high altitude, there is top-class snow, supported by widespread snowmaking. All levels of skier should find something to sink their teeth into. There is steep terrain and off-piste for advanced skiers, great scope for intermediates and good facilities for beginners. This is all supported by a continually improving lift system, which only gets overloaded at weekends and on major holidays.
Although purpose built, Sestriere is surrounded by stunning scenery and has everything you need. Plenty for non-skiers to do, a good range of restaurants, mainly hotel-based accommodation and up-tempo nightlife at the weekends, which caters to the Italian brigades up from Turin and Milan.
Sestriere is a surprisingly good value resort. It's also an excellent base for exploring the Milky Way, with its own all-ability pistes to satisfy everyone. Ignoring the less-than-heavenly architecture, this is one of the best Italian resorts.
