Club Med Tignes, Tignes

Your children will be in good hands as the Mini Club welcomes them from 4 years to 17 years and offers ESF ski lessons included in your package. The groups are formed according to the level and the language.

For the smallest, the Petit Club Med welcomes children from 2 to 3 years and offers professional cares* and lot of different kinds of activities such as artistic and musical awakening, sports and lot experiences according to the mountain (ski set available from 3 years old). Moreover, the team can take care of your children during the evening (7.30 pm to 9.00pm) if you want to have a private dinner with your family, friends or partner.

Babies are also welcome as your room can be equipped with all the accommodations on request ( Bathtub, bottle warmer, changing table, etc.).

A baby-sitting service is available on request and at extra cost if you feel the need for a total moment of freedom.

Last but not least, lot of different activities are offered to family (Snack, evening shows, giant outdoor wooden games, etc.).

The 2 restaurants cater for every palate for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Unlimited open-bar, during the day and evening, where you can enjoy a complete range of popular branded drinks and sweet and savoury snacks.

Drinks are also available during meal times, so you don't have to worry about the bill at the end of your stay!

All meals are included in the package price if you dine in one of the Club restaurants.

The restaurants:

- The Val Claret: restaurant offering various buffet options.

- The Solstice Gourmet Lounge: is open for late lunch and teatime in the evening. Dinner is served at your table on reservation.

The bar is the heart of the resort with his large south-facing terrace. The fireplace creates the perfect atmosphere for a drink with friends and family.

Finally, you and your family will enjoy all the Club Med activities offered during the day (and the night....)

Tignes skiing

Lift linked to Illustrious neighbour Val d'Isère to make up the ski area formerly known as l'Espace Killy, the Tignes ski area is, needless to say, vast and varied. The 300km of marked pistes cater for all levels and tastes with great off-piste, long wide blues and two snowparks (with another, even better one, over in Val d'Isère). Tignes also has the Grande Motte glacier providing year-round skiing. The glacier and Tignes' high altitude, make this resort for a great early or late season ski holiday destination. The whole area is serviced very well by an efficient lift system and the five villages that make up the resort are all linked by free bus. This is a resort that ticks the boxes for all!

Tignes ski resort

Although not known for its alpine charm, Tignes more than makes up for this as off-snow activities are excellent. There is a nice range of decent restaurants and bars whilst there are supermarkets for the self-catering crowd. Nightlife and après ski is pretty healthy. The legendary Folie Douce is just one lift away, and Cocorico has now expanded into Tignes - this unique apres ski experience takes things to a whole new level. The old favourites like the Loop bar still provide a great atmosphere. High-end dining can be found if you know where to look - the Grizzly in Val Claret does an exquisite BBQ.

The leisure centre has seen significant investment in recent years and provides a superb off-slope distraction for families. The frozen lake makes for idyllic walk and you can even try your hand at ice-diving if you can brave the cold!

In summary, Tignes is a modern, well laid out resort that caters for everyone. If you're after alpine charm then perhaps try Val d'Isere, but for sheer convenience, quality of skiing and snow record, it's hard to beat Tignes.
