Wildcat
Overview
Located in New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest, Wildcat has been well protected from commercial development. The result is a very natural skiing experience, with rugged trails, steep narrow glades, minimal amenities and six simple lifts. The 6,000ft summit of Mt Washington stares straight at the 150 acres of skiing terrain. Two common complaints of the resort are high winds, (which can mean the lifts shut) and the hazardous road in – which puts many people off even attempting to reach Wildcat. Those willing to persevere will be rewarded with challenging skiing and empty runs (even at the weekends).
