Alba
Overview
Alba is a very small village found near to Canazei, where you can access the Sella Ronda ski circuit. This range offers 175km of runs for all abilities, particularly intermediates.
Alba has only 10km of pistes locally, so it's not really a place to stay for a whole week. If you have a car, or use the buses, then it is a quiet alternative to staying in one of the louder lift-linked Sella Ronda resorts.
Alba is picturesque, also providing 52km of cross-country trails. If you want loads of ski-to-door runs and lively après-ski, this may not be the best place. If, on the other hand, you're looking for a traditional Dolomite village, Alba is a great bet.
