Obertraun/Dachstein

Relax in the town where many famous people, e.g. Hemingway, have spent their leisure time. Hemingway about Obertraun: "When spring came we devoted ourselves and glided down limitless slopes, rushing over the powdery white."

Obertraun has a long history, many sights, mysterious caves, fresh air and crystal clear water. It is spread on different mountain ranges and glaciers and therefore offers more diversity than other skiing areas.

Ski fans will love the Krippenstein slope which is one of the longest slopes (11 km) of Austria.
