Newly designed by world famous architect Heinz Julen, the Hotel
Matterhorn Focus is a luxury hotel offering a stylish and unique
ambience. Located a 2-minute walk from the Klein Matterhorn cable car,
the spacious rooms and suites have been designed to offer a fantastic
view of resort's most famous landmark - the Matterhorn. The wellness complex with indoor pool, outdoor whirlpool, saltwater bath, caldarium and Finnish sauna is an oasis of relaxation.

Location
The 4 star Hotel Matterhorn Focus is situated in a quiet corner of
Zermatt with uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn. It is superbly
located for the ski lift, directly beside the Matterhorn Express Valley
Station to get you up on the slopes. The main high street of Zermatt is a
ten minute walk away.
Rooms
All rooms have en-suite facilities, TV, hairdryer, Nespresso machine, Wi-fi, bathrobe & slippers and safe.
DR Skylight rooms feature a double bed with armchair, bathroom with
shower or bath and an expansive skylight directly above the bed (no side
wall windows or balcony). Some rooms have a mezzanine level, sleeps 2 - 4 max. depending on the room.
DR Superior rooms are full of light with mirrored panoramic windows,
double bed with sofa or sofa bed, bathroom with shower or bath and a
balcony or terrace. Views towards the cathedral and Zermatt village, sleeps 4 max.
DR Deluxe (House A or B) - These double rooms have large windows, a balcony or terrace and impressive views of the Matterhorn. The windows are mirrored and there is a sofa in the room, a bathroom with bath or shower, sleeps 2 max.
DR Deluxe (Chalet House C) - The chalet rooms have a balcony or terrace with views of the Matterhorn.
There is a double bed, a sofa bed and a bathroom with bath or shower, sleeps 4 max.
Family rooms have two separate bedrooms and a living room with a sofa
bed. The large windows and two balconies provide the iconic Matterhorn
views as well as over the cathedral plus a bathroom with bath or shower.
In the Chalet House C there is only one bedroom with two single beds in the living room as well as the sofa bed, sleeps 6 max.
Suite 50 - This spacious suite allows you to relax in the free standing bathtub overlooking the Matterhorn. The bedroom is separated by a glass wall in this super stylish room with a view. There’s a sofa bed in the living room as well as a balcony and bathroom with shower, sleeps 4 max.
Royal Suite - The hotels pièce de résistance, this kingly suite has a balcony and a terrace, free-standing tub, living room, bedroom, glass walls, sofa bed, dining table, mirrored windows and bathroom with shower. The Matterhorn can be seen from pretty much anywhere in the room, sleeps 5 max.

About Zermatt
Zermatt skiing
Zermatt, according to some reporters, is as near as anywhere to perfection, so long as you are an intermediate or advanced skier. With vast and varied skiing that extends via a link with Cervinia into Italy, along with awesome scenery, Zermatt really is a great resort. Let's be honest, there are better choices for complete beginners, but Zermatt DOES have beginners' slopes and a very good ski school, so don't believe those who will try telling you it's not possible to learn to ski here.
The more experienced skiers will love the 400+km of pistes and complete snow guarantee that comes with the high altitude. The Klein Matterhorn cable car is Europe's highest ski lift station at 3,820m. Ski over into Italy for a cruise around Cervinia's well maintained slopes, before heading back to the Hennustall for an apres ski beer or three!
Zermatt ski resort
With amazing restaurants both on and off the mountain, a beautiful town that is traffic free apart from the electric taxis and great nightlife to suit all tastes, life down in resort isn't too shabby either. The traffic free village is a joy to stroll around and there is high end shopping, drinking and eating to suit all! Whisper it, Zermatt even has a McDonald's...
Accommodation in Zermatt isn't just limited to 4 and 5 star hotels, lower budgets are catered for here but, in truth, Zermatt is not a destination for the penny pincher! All around, this is Switzerland's number one resort on many levels, and another destination that any serious skier must tick off their bucket list.
