It enjoys a prime location 300m from the resort centre, situated between the Slaata and Geilo Taubane chair lifts and 2km from Geilolia ski centre. The hotel ski bus and resort ski bus stop just outside the hotel. For evenings in, choose between the cosy, lounge bar with roaring log fire, sophisticated library room or one of Geilo’s liveliest and most popular bars.In addition, the hotel is planning many new facilities for Winter 2006/07.

About Geilo

On the train line from Bergen to Oslo, Geilo is a quiet resort that is best suited to families and cross-country skiers. In fact, 'langlaufers' have hundreds of kilometres of tracks, as Geilo is one of the biggest centres in Norway. For downhill skiers there are 39 runs to chose from most of which cater for beginners and intermediates. There is excellent childcare and instruction and the resort facilities are all within a short distance.

Overall, Geilo is a small resort more geared towards cross-country than downhill skiing. It offers limited pistes, with a quiet and unrushed atmosphere, but not really a place for dedicated skiers.
