Tucked up the hill above Livigno’s centre, you’ll get rugged peak views as far as the eye can see, and you’re only a minute away from the lift, so getting out on the mountain is a breeze. And if you want to see what’s going on in the town, you can just jump on the free ski bus and be down there in a flash.

Spend your time out of the skis exploring the newer part of the hotel – swim from inside to the outdoor infinity pool and look out over the snowy summits, before making your way to the swim-up bar for a tipple. As for the slopes (110km of runs), Livigno offers great stuff for beginners and intermediates, both boarders and skiers. The lift system is fast, modern and efficient enough to negate queues.
