Overview
Located at an altitude of 2100m, the 3-star hotel Le Paquis is in the centre of Tignes, near the shops and a mere stone’s throw from the lifts and the pistes. Le Paquis is an attractive chalet-style hotel in Tignes Le Lac, built traditionally with good use of wood and stone material has an alpine look and is known for a warm and friendly atmosphere - no wonder it's always in demand. A winning choice for families, couples or small groups of friends.
All 33 rooms are traditional, comfortable, snug and well-equipped and have private facilities (bath or shower). Several rooms have their own balcony presenting beautiful alpine panoramas.
When it's time to recharge the batteries, take care of those sore muscles and enjoy a well-deserved après drink, Le Paquis delivers. Offering an excellent bar and lounge and a well-equipped wellness area including a sauna and whirlpool. The Hotel offers also a ski room with boot dryers, plus there are two showers if you ski on departure day after checking-out.

Location
Located in Tignes Le Lac overlooking the lake with views of the Grande Motte glacier, the hotel is ideally located for access to the ski slopes. From the hotel walk less than a minute down to the piste and from here glide down to the Rosset chair or Tovière gondola. The ski school meeting point and nursery slopes are by these two lifts.
There are some good restaurants and bars less than 2 minutes' walk from the hotel and the main shops of Tignes Le Lac are 5 minutes' walk away

All rooms have twin or double beds (please specify preference when booking), WC, bath with shower head attachment or shower room, cable / satellite TV with English speaking channels, safe, telephone, bathrobes, towels, hairdryer and north or south-facing views. Most rooms have a balcony.
Standard twin room - sleeps 2- 15m², with north-facing views. Also available for single occupancy.

About Tignes
Tignes skiing
Lift linked to Illustrious neighbour Val d'Isère to make up the ski area formerly known as l'Espace Killy, the Tignes ski area is, needless to say, vast and varied. The 300km of marked pistes cater for all levels and tastes with great off-piste, long wide blues and two snowparks (with another, even better one, over in Val d'Isère). Tignes also has the Grande Motte glacier providing year-round skiing. The glacier and Tignes' high altitude, make this resort for a great early or late season ski holiday destination. The whole area is serviced very well by an efficient lift system and the five villages that make up the resort are all linked by free bus. This is a resort that ticks the boxes for all!
Tignes ski resort
Although not known for its alpine charm, Tignes more than makes up for this as off-snow activities are excellent. There is a nice range of decent restaurants and bars whilst there are supermarkets for the self-catering crowd. Nightlife and après ski is pretty healthy. The legendary Folie Douce is just one lift away, and Cocorico has now expanded into Tignes - this unique apres ski experience takes things to a whole new level. The old favourites like the Loop bar still provide a great atmosphere. High-end dining can be found if you know where to look - the Grizzly in Val Claret does an exquisite BBQ.
The leisure centre has seen significant investment in recent years and provides a superb off-slope distraction for families. The frozen lake makes for idyllic walk and you can even try your hand at ice-diving if you can brave the cold!
In summary, Tignes is a modern, well laid out resort that caters for everyone. If you're after alpine charm then perhaps try Val d'Isere, but for sheer convenience, quality of skiing and snow record, it's hard to beat Tignes.
