When it comes to family trips, the Plagne 2000 has all the bases covered. The ski school meeting point is right outside the hotel, and little ones even have their own separate boot room to make mornings super simple. Then in afternoon, check out the stage by the bar for some kid-friendly fun – from discos to circus shows. And for older ones and teens, there’s a hangout area with consoles and board games.
Description
The hotel has a sleek alpine look throughout, with mountain murals, light wood and neutral colours – plus pops of bright red to match La Plagne’s resort colours. Pick the size room that suits you, from twins for two up to interconnecting family rooms for six people.
The hot and cold buffet breakfast will set you up for the day, and if you pop back in the afternoon, you can tuck into snacks like waffles and crêpes. Leave space for dinner though – there’s all the usual favourites on the buffet, plus Savoyard specialities and free wine for a true taste of France. You can also choose to upgrade to full board or all-inclusive if you like.

Childcare – Pepi Penguin Nursery (6 months - 4 years) and Beanie Bear Club (4-8 years)Families
The Hotel Plagne 2000 is host to Pepi Penguin Nursery and Beanie Bear Club, which are open to all children staying at this hotel and the Hauts Bois Apartments.
Pepi Penguin Nursery (6 months - 4 years) is run by our team of Childcare professionals and held in a dedicated room equipped with games and toys. Outdoor play included (weather and parental consent permitting).
What's included:
Full-day care from 8.30am – 5pm
2-course hot lunch
Snacks and drinks throughout the day
A daily routine and activities report for your child
Activities vary daily. We'll find time for stories, singing, arts and crafts including painting and collage making, plus messy play in the sand tray and free play with age-relevant toys set out for the children to choose what they want to do.
We're also really keen to take in some fresh mountain air each day, so we aim to have an outdoor activity at least once a day – maybe snowy walks, a gondola ride or snow painting. And if your child is used to a sleep, we'll factor that in too.
Beanie Bear Club (3/4-8 years) provides plenty of fun-filled days as our childcare staff offer a combination of care and skiing, which includes 6 x morning ski lessons, pick-up and drop-off from ski lessons, lunch and either full-day or half-day care by staff in the dedicated Beanie Bear Club room.
Full-day Beanie Bear Club includes:
Full-day care from 8.30am – 5pm
6 x morning ski lessons, ski school drop-offs and pick-ups*
Child skis, boots and helmet hire
2-course hot lunch
Snacks and drinks throughout the day
Afternoon games and outdoor fun
New for Winter 20/21 – half-day Beanie Bear Club includes:
Half-day care from 8.30am – 2pm
6 x morning ski lessons, ski school drop-offs and pick-ups*
Child skis, boots and helmet hire
2-course hot lunch
Snacks and drinks throughout the day
* Lift passes aren't included as each child's needs are different. If and when your child feels confident enough to use the lifts, you'll need to buy a lift pass locally.
Activities vary daily to include games, arts and crafts and storytime and are often based around a theme.
We're also really keen to take in some fresh mountain air each day, so we aim to have an outdoor activity at least once a day – maybe bus bingo, snowman competitions or a treasure hunt.
Both Pepi Penguin Nursery and Beanie Bear Club operate for 6 days a week and must be pre-booked to guarantee a place. Our evening clubs come at an extra cost and can be pre-booked before you travel or, if places are still available, can be booked locally in the resort.
All our teams of childcare professionals are English-speaking and have had DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and reference checks, or equivalent. And we prioritise maintaining the correct adult:child ratios.
Please note, all childcare is an extra charge and must be pre-booked to guarantee a place. In some instances, childcare does not extend the full length of the ski season. Please contact the sales team for additional information.

About La Plagne
La Plagne ski area
In 2003, the double-decker cable car between La Plagne and Les Arcs opened and in a single moment created the Paradiski. With 420km of lift linked pistes, high altitude skiing, 2 glaciers and a modern lift system, this is now one of the powerhouse resorts of the French Alps.
Beginners and early intermediates will thrive on the runs in and around the 10 villages of La Plagne. Gentle, mostly tree-lined and snow-sure, you could hardly think of a better destination for family skiing. Stronger skiers are catered for too though, with 220km of pistes in La Plagne and the prospect of another 200km over in Les Arcs. Yes, there are other resorts that offer a bit more if everyone in your party is an advanced skier, but you will not find a better ski destination for a mixed abilty group or family!
La Plagne ski resort
La Plagne is split into 10 smaller villages, all with enough to make them a resort in their own right. It's important to ensure you've researched exactly which resort you're staying in and that it's suitable for your needs. The most likely places you'll end up are:
Plagne Centre: As the name suggests, this is the focal point of La Plagne. The main hub of lifts is here and most runs will point towards Plagne Centre. A good choice of bars and restuarants, plus a couple of nightclubs.
Aime 2000: Not to be confused with Aime, the valley town, Aime 2000 is perched above Plagne Centre. If you're staying here with us then you're almost certainly in one of the Club Med hotels, so everything you need will be on site and free! Direct piste access and the Télémetro cable car runs to Plagne Centre until the early hours so a night out is also possible.
Plagne Soleil: Just above Plagne Centre on the opposite side to Aime. Plagne Soleil is small without many distinguishing features but close enough to Plagne Centre to enjoy an evening or two away from your chalet.
Plagne Villages: Another smaller collection of chalets and apartments, with brilliant piste access and just close enough to Plagne Centre for evening entertainment if needed.
Plagne 1800: Nestled in the woods below Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800 offers a lot of catered chalets and has everything you need without having to go all the way to Plagne Centre. A choice of lifts in the morning depending on which direction you want to go.
Belle Plagne: The most modern village in La Plagne, Belle Plagne is also the next largest after Plagne Centre. Attractively laid out and, like the rest of La Plagne, ski convenience is king. A good choice of catered and self-catered accommodation which are almost all on the piste.
Plagne Bellecote: A small village essentially consisting of one large apartment building and some communal facilities. There is a large outdoor heated swimming pool here.
Montchavin & Les Coches: 2 villages that were forgotten outposts of La Plagne until the Vanoise Express came along. Now they're in prime position, you can easily access either side of the Paradiski in moments and, unlike Plagne Centre or Arcs 200, you could quite easily nip over for just an hour or two without the long transition.
