In a wonderful ski in, ski out position in the sunny yet snowsure southern Alps resort of Isola 2000, Residence New Chastillon is a smart and contemporary 4* aparthotel offering 73 well-equipped studios and apartments of varying size, most with a balcony and including a buffet breakfast each morning.

Description

Location

At the entrance to Isola 2000 in a ski in/out location, 50m from the lifts and a minute's walk from the resort centre.

Rooms

The apartments are modern in design and spacious, making them an ideal option for a ski weekend or short break. They are rated 4* but please note the New Chastillon is not a hotel, but an apartment complex. Furnished with style, each one has a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave oven, hob, toaster, kettle, a bathroom with WC and hairdryer, television, Wi-Fi and a safe. Towels and bed linen are provided.

All studio apartments have a convertible sofa bed in the living area for two (can be two single sofa beds or one double). Larger apartments offer a separate bedroom and bunk beds (which are best suited to children); please see descriptions below for further information:

Studio 2 – approximately 20m2, sleeps 2 on convertible sofa beds

Studio 3 – approximately 22m2, sleeps 3 , 2 on convertible sofa beds and the third on a single bed in a separate area

Studio 4 – approximately 26m2, sleeps 4, as studio 3 but instead of one extra single bed there are two bunk beds

Apartment 4 – approximately 40m2, sleeps 4 with 2 convertible sofas and a separate twin bedroom

Apartment 6 – approximately 40m2, sleeps 6, as Apartment 4 but with an extra area with two bunk beds. Please note no balcony in this type of apartment.

About Isola 2000

A high, purpose-built resort created in the 1960s, Isola has a convenient complex of shops, bars, apartments and hotels.

The three ski areas of St. Sauveur, Pélevos and Levant sit in a horseshoe shape around the resort with a large, sunny nursery area at the base. Experts should head for St-Sauveur for good off-piste and challenging runs. The excellent Génisserie mountain restaurant is also found in this sector.

Nice is only a 90-minute drive away and, during the warmer half of the season, a morning's slope activity is popularly followed by a stroll on the beach or sail on the Med. Nice work if you can get it…
