Overview
Description
It’s understandable. Built in mellow wood and unmistakeably Savoyard-style, it has a quaint ambience that makes guests feel they are in the lap of luxury. From the abundance of wooden beams and beautiful log fire in the open plan living and dining room to the feather pillows and duvets in the bedrooms, the chalet oozes warmth and character.
A large antique tapestry adorns a wall in the living room, and the homely feel is added to by traditional Savoyard frescoes. A balcony with comfy loungers leads off the living room, perfect for catching the afternoon sun, crisp mountain air and breathtaking views.
An extra touch of luxury comes in the shape of a sauna – perfect after skiing.
The location is ideal too. Founets Aval is opposite the pisteside restaurant of La Bergerie and just steps from the Bellecote run, which leads down to the centre of Courchevel 1850 at La Croisette.
The proximity of the slopes means you don’t need to feel guilty about lingering over an indulgent cooked breakfast – you’ll still be able to get out skiing before many others in the resort. And besides, with the vast and utterly fabulous network of runs making up the Three Valleys to tackle, you’ll need to be properly fuelled with energy.
Sleeping up to eight, the chalet has four bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. There is also a snug, with a plasma television, on the mezzanine floor – great as a retreat for children. In fact, the chalet is perfect for families, and has a very intimate feel.
Our staff can tailor meals to children’s tastes, and organise early suppers for them if required and nannies too so parents can enjoy a night out on the town after dinner.

About Courchevel 1850
Sat at the Eastern end (The Three Valleys piste maps look South!) of the biggest linked ski area in the world, it's not hard to see why Courchevel 1850 has become such an exclusive destination. Gentle, tree-lined pistes feed into and through the centre of the resort, with almost every chalet, hotel and apartment being on or near the piste. Meribel is quickly accessible by any number of routes. The superb, high-tech lift system means that you can be in Val Thorens in time for an early lunch with ease...
The biggest village and arguably the jewel in Courchevel's crown, 1850 is the focal point of the resort, with a good selection of world-class hotels, restaurants and shopping. There is a good selection of less expensive accommodation options in town, especially with several British run chalet hotels. Lift access to the whole 3 Valleys area is from the centre of town, giving easy access for almost all guests.
