Overview
The Hotel Sonnschein has an easy, relaxed atmosphere that you're sure to love. The friendly team are on hand throughout your stay to help make it the best it can be. The hotel itself has two wings branching off of the main reception and dining areas. The original central part of the Sonnschein is decorated in classic alpine style, while the newer wings has a fresher, more modern touch. When it comes down to food, you can sample Tyrolean favourites as well as international cuisine. In the basement is the wellness suite – here you’ve got two swimming pools with underwater jets, a couple of saunas and a steam room. There is also a large ski room with heated boot racks or you can store your equipment closer to the lifts.
Description
Location
The hotel sits in a quieter part of town, away from the main Dorfstrasse. Never fear though, it's still just a 10-minute walk to the lifts. There are plenty of shorter blue runs around the drag lifts, perfect for practising technique and building confidence. And when you're heading home for the day, you can ski down Red 19 to the bottom of the Markbachjoch gondola, or take Black 15 to the bottom of the Lanerköpfl chairlift.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.

About Niederau
Niederau skiing
Niederau skiing is probably best suited to beginners and early intermediates, with a highly regarded ski school, nice nursery slopes and gentle blues. There isn't really much for more advanced skiers apart from a bit of off-piste and a couple of black runs, although there is a good snow park down in Auffach (free ski bus)for those that are that way inclined.
Niederau ski resort
The resort itself is picturesque and charming. Accommodation is located close to the slopes and the après ski is good without being too hectic. The sedate and friendly atmosphere makes for a good choice for family ski holidays, as does the short transfer (45 mins to Innsbruck).
