Overview
From a circus-themed room filled with clowns and an antique train carriage, to an old scuba-diver’s suit and a red telephone box, there’s a surprise around every corner. You’ve also got the chairlift on your doorstep so you'll be up on the slopes nice and early, and you’re only a minute away from the resort centre too, including one of Andorra's best après bars, L'Abarset.
There’s heaps going on when it comes to facilities – challenge your mates to a game of pool in the bar, hit the pool for some leisurely laps or dip in and out of the sauna and the hot tub. If you’re after a laid-back evening, you can find board games and a chess set in the Circus room, or take a tipple up to the sun terrace and look out over the peaks of the Pyrenees.
And you're sorted at mealtimes, starting with a big buffet breakfast of bacon, eggs and pastries. When you’re done for the day, you’ll tuck into three courses of homemade dishes. The chef specialises in Catalan cuisine, so you’re in for some seriously authentic fare.

About Soldeu - El Tarter
Soldeu skiing
Part of the large Grandvalira ski area, Soldeu is a good value resort with fairly reliable snow and plenty of sun. It boasts one of the most highly rated ski schools in Europe and, with most of the pistes catering to beginners and early intermediates, it's a perfect place to learn. For advanced skiers and snowboarders there isn't so much to play with, although you can get a snowcat tow to the Piz de Encampanada for good off-piste. There is also cheap heli-skiing on offer and a decent enough snowpark .
Soldeu ski resort
In the resort itself there's a good selection of eateries at reasonable prices, and the atmosphere is fantastic, far out-charming Soldeu's Andorran relatives. In spite of a less-than-raucous nightlife it is still a lively village, but mostly bar-based.
One of the most popular resorts in Andorra, if not the Pyrenees, Soldeu has a lot going for it.
