Whether you want to master the basics before your first skiing holiday, perfect your parallel turns, or stomp that shifty 5, the UK's ever expanding array of dry ski slopes and indoor snow centers means that you don't have to travel very far to get your snow (or Dendex/Snowflex) fix.
Most dry ski slopes and indoor snow centers offer courses for beginners, ranging from short introductory courses, to a longer series of intensive lessons. Dry slopes are often a bit more difficult to ski on than real snow so that can make taking the first runs on real snow seem much easier. This is a great way to pick up the basics, meaning that you won't have to spend the first few days of your holiday on your backside…
All of the indoor snow centers and more and more of the dry ski slopes also put on freestyle nights for the more adventurous amongst you. Helmets are usually compulsory but often provided. Many centers also offer other advanced training such as race training and moguls. Contact your nearest centre for details.
